Here is a bit of history related to the Wilton Beavers Girls Basketball Team of the 1947-1948. This talented group of young women athletes had an outstanding season, finishing with an impressive 36-1 record. Their only loss came during the Iowa State Girls Basketball Tournament in 1948, where they battled hard and secured second place after falling to Kamrar, Iowa, in the championship game with a final score of 65 to 40. Kamrar is a small town in Hamilton County, Iowa which sits southeast of Webster City about 12 miles.
